The Birth of The Sun

This print depicts a Dreaming from the Wurundjeri people of Southern Victoria. An emu and a brolga get in to a fight over whose eggs are more brilliant. As the fight escalates the brolga tosses one of the emu’s eggs into the air. The egg hits a pile of sticks collected by the sky people and bursts in to flames spreading light over the land.
