Howell’s Farm Walls

Inside Howell's Farm House on Maria Island built in 1923, the walls are lined with old wooden crates. Over the year’s layer upon layer of newspapers, letters and wall papers have been stuck on to fill gaps and decorate the rustic walls.

The old house is still intact but over the years since the farm was last occupied, the wallpaper and newspaper have started to peel, leaving stunning a decopage of textures and patterns. This design was created from the photos taken of these walls.
